Le Bluetooth SIG a adopté Bluetooth High Data Throughput (HDT), une fonctionnalité qui multiplie par quatre le débit maximal des appareils LE. Cette avancée redéfinit les capacités des connexions sans fil, notamment pour l'audio haute fidélité.
